Go Girl Go for I.T. Careers Showcase

The Go Girl Go for IT Careers Showcase events endeavour to actively address the lack of females engaged in the ICT industries by enhancing young females’ perceptions of career prospects within ICT and related technology industries. The showcases aim to demonstrate to students and teachers alike that ICT is an exciting, rewarding and positive career option for Australian females. They seek to dispel popular misconceptions about the nature of working in the ICT industries. 

The showcase is targeted directly at female secondary school students and incorporates 

• Comprehensive career advice available using interactive presentations 
• Real life, young, female role models with established, rewarding careers in ICT 
• All industries and educational institutes, including information on scholarships, traineeships and products that will assist schools, students and teachers to become more technologically literate. 

The Go Girl Go for I.T. Careers Showcase has been successfully run in Melbourne, Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia.
